Charlie Pyne has worked with the Ilario Ferrari Trio, Down for the Count Swing Orchestra, Issie Barratt’s Interchange, and Yazz Ahmed’s Polyhymnia. Her quartet has released two albums, Dancing Shadows in 2018 and Nature Is A Mother in 2024.
Liam Dunachie is one of the most in-demand pianists and Hammond organists in the UK, a regular fixture in jazz clubs playing alongside UK greats like Tony Kofi, Alex Garnett and Art Themen. His commercial work includes Beverley Knight, Gareth Malone and Alfie Boe as well as working regularly with the RPO and in West End theatres.
Luke Pinkstone is a London based saxophonist and woodwind player. His work spans across jazz and pop, and has previously worked with Hackney Colliery Band, Molotov Jukebox, Elio Pace, and the Down For The Count swing orchestra. He is in demand as a session musician and is also writing new material for his own jazz quartet project.
Tom Hooper is a versatile London-based drummer and musician active in jazz, rock, and session work, and has performed and recorded all over the world with artists as diverse as Grace Jones, Skye (formerly of Morcheeba), jazz violinist Christian Garrick, the indie band Stroke, Omar, and The Kairos Ensemble.Tom's sense of spacial form and subtle lightness of touch gives the compositions an organic, breathing quality.
The Charlie Pyne Quartet will be supported by a Jazzniks, a Hertford-based band playing a short set of energetic jazz standards.
